It all started with the idea of using a spiderweb as an inspiration. But just doing a spiderweb was too literal and almost looked like Halloween so I went on and abstracted the idea. The result were knit tension cables going in all directions and not following a specific pattern but acting as structural support. However, t
o give this chaos an order, I proceeded to divide the wall into four vertical panels and three horizontal ones and placed the anchors on the dividing lines. Another thing I found this project needed masses and a living space so in order not to break up the harmony that was already created, I introduced some geometric shapes, that may look like spheres from a distance but that are actually constructed using octagons and squares. I placed the largest one on the floor and replaced one of its sides with transparent film so that a person standing in the inside could look
out and up into the trees and at the same time feel protected and cozy in this white "cave".Also, I worked the panels for the front of the wall and engraved a pattern of ice fractures on them because I felt it would give them an organic feel and the fractures matched the design for the tension cables.
